"She is the most charming person in the world."

Before she was Mrs. F. Scott Fitzgerald, she was Zelda Sayre.
And even then, I think she knew she'd do something big.

She'd be 113 years old today. Which Zelda do I love the most? The Southern Belle? The writer? Daisy Buchanan in the flesh? It's difficult to say--but hey, I don't discriminate.
I'm not sure when it happened, but sometime between my freshman year of high school and now, I fell in love with all things Z-E-L-D-A.

How can you not love the woman who was, quintessentially, the most-beloved & to-be-envied 'flapper' of all time?

It seems all the world has fallen in love with Z.S.F. & my bookshelf is proof. Therese Anne Fowler's Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald is thus far my favorite fictionalized account of unforgettable Zelda, although Beautiful Fools (recognize that reference?) by R. Clifton Spargo deserves high praise & Call Me Zelda by Erika Robuck is sure to be a keeper as well.

Words to live by.
Happy Birthday, Z!
