"She is the most charming person in the world."

Before she was Mrs. F. Scott Fitzgerald, she was Zelda Sayre.
And even then, I think she knew she'd do something big.

She'd be 113 years old today. Which Zelda do I love the most? The Southern Belle? The writer? Daisy Buchanan in the flesh? It's difficult to say--but hey, I don't discriminate.
I'm not sure when it happened, but sometime between my freshman year of high school and now, I fell in love with all things Z-E-L-D-A.

How can you not love the woman who was, quintessentially, the most-beloved & to-be-envied 'flapper' of all time?

It seems all the world has fallen in love with Z.S.F. & my bookshelf is proof. Therese Anne Fowler's Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald is thus far my favorite fictionalized account of unforgettable Zelda, although Beautiful Fools (recognize that reference?) by R. Clifton Spargo deserves high praise & Call Me Zelda by Erika Robuck is sure to be a keeper as well.

Words to live by.
Happy Birthday, Z!

Roses are red, Violets are blue

If there's two things I love most in this world, it's fresh croissants for breakfast and a good accessory. This post is about neither one of those, but now that that's out of the way...

I'm not a huge tumblr person;  I only have one because I needed a place to keep track of Fake It Til You Make It & sometimes I even forget about that. However, anything with J. Crew stamped on it can make me a believer (can you say J. Crew-a-holic?) Let me just say: Tumblr + J. Crew = yes yes yes.

The company's blog boasts all sorts of goodies & behind the scenes peeks. No such thing as too much J. Crew. Don't beg to differ.

Back in May, they joined their set designer on a trip to the flower district & ever since then, my desktop background has been a rotation of all of the following images. Flowers & J. Crew--can't go wrong there.

Did I mention Tracy has my dream job? She never goes anywhere without her pink gardening clippers & has been prop styling shoots for J. Crew for over 10 years.

Look out Tracy! I'm coming for your job.
